Tonight Adam looked out the kitchen window and was shocked to see a Bobwhite Quail in our backyard. I quickly grabbed the camera to try and get a picture. Not quite the best picture, but a really neat bird to see. The bird actually let us get fairly close. The boys thought it was pretty cool, but they quickly scared it away.
For those of you who know my husband well, you'll understand why this picture makes me smile. Yes, if your wondering, he is trying to talk to the bird with his Bobwhite sounds.

That brings back memories of my childhood. I grew up hearing the call of the bobwhite in my backyard. How fun for your kids to grow up in that kind of enviroment!
