Saturday we celebrated Easter at Adam's parents house. The boys were very excited to do their egg hunt at grandma's house! We ate dinner first and then it was off to find eggs! All 3 kids are at a point now that they can search for eggs. It was fun to watch them! Daddy is happy to have kids because grandma doesn't make him hunt for eggs now. :)
The boys were anxious to get started!
Cousin Morgan is too little yet for eggs, watch out next year!

Addie in search of an egg!
hmmm . . . which came first- the chicken or the egg?
Tanyon trying to sneak a piece of candy from on of his eggs.
Shortly after the egg hunt our adventure started with Addie! Mike, Daddy and Mommy were out playing PIG in the driveway. Tanyon and Addie were playing with a ride-on toy. Daddy had just shot a crazy far away shot when Addie pushed Tanyon and the car right behind Adam. As Adam landed he tripped on Tanyon and basically all of his body weight landed on Addie's head! It was gruesome! Adam jumped up and said she's hurt really bad!! He recognized he was going to land on her and had no way of breaking the fall or avoiding her. Addie it the back of her head REALLY hard on the driveway. Her head must have scrapped on the driveway because a large chunk of hair fell out. We watched her very carefully, but she seemed to be doing ok despite the large goose egg on the back of her head.
Later in the evening we, the adults, decided to play a game. The boys went to watch TV and Addie was hanging out with us. She decided to join the boys and wasn't even there for 5 minutes before the chair she was standing on tipped causing her to crack her forehead on the brick of Adam's parents fireplace! She had blood every where and a nice gash on her forehead. So off to the ER we went, of course Urgent Care wasn't open. In some ways I was comforted to be heading to the ER to have a Dr. tell me that she was ok because I was still pretty rattled by her first fall. The Dr. ended up gluing her forehead, no stitches needed and said she felt Addie was ok. Let me tell you that Adam and I were amazed at how tough Addie is while at the ER! As they cleaned out her cut, she didn't even flinch let alone cry!! She put her brothers to shame. :)
Yesterday, I couldn't help but keep saying thank you to the Lord for watching over Addie! Her first fall could have been REALLY bad!! Adam told me yesterday that he really was afraid initially that he could have fractured her skull. I think that really made me stop and think how bad it could have been!
So needless to say, we had an unusual Easter with Adam's family!

God's blessings are just amazing! With everything He did for us at this Easter time, He still continues to love us and take care of us! I am in awe of our wonderful Creator! And thankful He preserved more of His beautiful creation in Addie!
oh my goodness--I'm so glad Addie is okay! That could have been bad!
I love Bryson's new glasses :)
First of all - good grief! That girl of yours is amazing! I'm glad she's fine, but head stuff is always scary. We just had our own head incidents but everyone was fine. You just never know!
Okay - back to the egg hunt! That was a serious egg hunt! Look at all those eggs. That put our egg hunt to shame. I will NOT be showing Christian these pictures! He would want a redo!
