Christmas Morning

Christmas morning was a lot of fun this year at our house. Everyone was healthy (which we had 2 Christmas morning with sick kiddos) and everyone was old enough to open their presents and enjoy what they received.

When the boys got up they ran right to the sunroom to see if Santa had brought presents. (We really don't do much with Santa, but it's inevitable that they learn of him) However it was funny when someone asked him later in the day if Santa came he said "no, my mom got us the presents."

The boys were ready to burst through the door, except there was one problem- Addie was still sleeping.

So we worked on our present for Jesus. Each of the boys put down something they would like to for Jesus as a present.

Then they put their card in Jesus' present box. We also did this last year and hope to make this a special tradition. Thanks Judy for getting us started with this!!

Our next tradition- finding the pickle! We were given a pickle ornament and it is a German tradition to hide the pickle. Our rule was who ever found the ornament opened the first present. The winner was Tanyon!

The boys waiting for their big present that couldn't be wrapped.

They were very impressed by the rescue hero command center!

I like this picture of both boys checking out their toys.

Addie also was really enjoying opening her presents.

Tanyon sitting with Daddy while he opened up the present he picked out for him.

The boys proudly giving Daddy Mommy's gift. The idea was Bryson's- a weed whacker.

Addie with the candle she picked out for Mommy. She's making her yucky face. Adam said she did this with everything he had her smell- lotions, candles, etc. He finally took her down the candle isle and said show me which one you want for Mommy. Of course she picked the pink one! She is quickly attaching herself these days to the color pink. :)
