Christmas Visitors

So the excitement of Christmas passes but there was an event that the boys were still VERY excited about- Dave Carter was coming to our house for supper! Leading up to Christmas we did a countdown for the number of days until Christmas and then how many days until Dave Carter comes. (I'm not trying to be redundant with the name, but that is the only way the boys say his name- the whole name!) The big day came and they were so excited. Dave was so kind to the boys. Daddy and Dr. Carter were very interested in the Eagles vs. Cowboys game, but Dave took some time to spend with the boys. I would guess that at supper time Tanyon must said "Hey Dave Tarter" at least 50 times! Thanks Dave for showing an interest in our boys!

Having the Carters over was special, but just as exciting was having Haven, Miss Jackie and Mr. Doug over!! The kids, including Addie, got so excited when we told them who was coming for supper. It doesn't seem to matter how much time the boys spend with Haven, they're always excited to spend more time with her. They really love you Haven and think your super great!!!

Growing up, the week after Christmas was a time that we tried to be intentional to have friends over for supper. We were able to do that some this Christmas which was a lot of fun. The 2 nights we didn't have anyone over the boys were very disappointed. I can't believe that I didn't take a picture with Jenny and Drue while they were here. Sorry Jen! The boys love their car track! We also had the leaders from FCA for supper a night to do some planning with Adam. Although I'm slightly embarrassed to have people over to our house because it's not all put together, I still love opening our home up. Adam and I feel so strongly that God has given us this house and we need to use it to serve him. We also hope to build a desire in our children to want to bring their friends here to hang out when they get older.
